Located inside the historic Bhadra Fort, this ancient temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali, the revered “Nagar Devi” or guardian deity who has protected Ahmedabad since its founding. The temple is famous for its black stone idol and the unique tradition where the goddess’s “Vahana” (vehicle) is changed daily, featuring various mounts like the lion, elephant, and lotus.
