While the team finished 11th in the 2025 season after the grand finale in late October, the sport remains a local favorite with rising stars like Parteek Dahiya and the opening of the state-of-the-art Naranpura Sports Complex further fueling the city’s status as a hub for indigenous sports.

Ahmedabad is the global epicenter of cricket, housing the Narendra Modi Stadium, the world’s largest cricket venue with a capacity of 132,000. In December 2025, the city hosted the thrilling final T20I of the India-South Africa series, and it is now officially confirmed to host both the opening match and the grand final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in March 2026.
