We are looking for an energetic and highly motivated Marketing Intern to join our growing team in Ahmedabad. This role is perfect for a student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in India’s first UNESCO World Heritage City, a powerhouse of textiles, diamonds, and a booming digital startup ecosystem. You will support our marketing department in carrying out various strategies and campaigns while learning the ropes of the industry in one of India’s most entrepreneurial cities.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Support: Assist in the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns (both offline and digital) across Ahmedabad’s diverse demographics.
- Social Media Management: Help manage brand accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, capturing the vibrant “Amdavadi” lifestyle and engaging with the local community.
- Content Creation: Draft creative copy for social media posts, newsletters, and promotional flyers, blending modern trends with local cultural nuances.
- Market Research: Conduct research on local competitors in the Ahmedabad market—from retail giants on C.G. Road to emerging D2C brands—and identify consumer trends.
- Event Coordination: Assist in organizing local promotional events, store launches, or exhibitions at venues like the Sabarmati Riverfront or local business hubs.
- Analytics Tracking: Help collect and analyze data from marketing scripts and platforms to measure campaign success using tools like Google Analytics.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Students from local institutions like MICA or IIM-A are encouraged to apply).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Gujarati is highly preferred for local market engagement and vendor coordination.
- Digital Literacy: Familiarity with social media platforms and basic office software (Google Workspace/MS Office).
- Attitude: A proactive “can-do” attitude with the famous Gujarati “Jugaad” spirit—willingness to learn and find creative solutions.
- Local Knowledge: A good understanding of Ahmedabad’s geography, from the historic Pols to the modern S.G. Highway and GIFT City.
Preferred Skills
- Graphic Design: Basic ability to use tools like Canva or Adobe Express for quick social media assets and local ad layouts.
- Photography: Basic skill in capturing high-quality photos/videos on a smartphone for “behind-the-scenes” content during festivals like Navratri or Uttarayan.
- Networking: Comfortable interacting with people and representing the brand at local trade fairs and networking events.
